Sushi is quite popular in the United States, with many super markets now making and selling their own, but it still poses a bit of a mystery. Questions like:
- Q: What is it?
A: The modern version of sushi is vinegared rice topped with a variety of different ingredients.
- Q: Does all sushi contain fish?
A: No. Sushi can contain or be topped with almost whatever you want, from traditional to experimental. You can use your favorite vegetable or fruit (remember that cucumber and avocado are technically fruit). The sushi restaurants and markets have their basic assortment but, if you make your own, there is nothing stopping you from experimenting. It's up to you whether you want to go traditional or experimental...enjoy!
- Q: What the hell am I eating?
